Safety
Real work never starts with a payment.
Casting scams are common in India. ClapGig exists to make finding work safer — here is how we do it, and how to protect yourself.
What we do
Recruiter review
Production houses are reviewed before they get the verified badge.
Zero-fee rule
Asking an artist for money gets a recruiter permanently removed.
Private by default
Your phone number is never shown publicly. Chat opens only after shortlisting.
Fast reports
Reported listings are reviewed within 24 hours and pulled if they break the rules.
Red flags
Any fee to audition or register
Portfolio fees, “registration charges”, “processing fees” — genuine casting never asks for these.
Pressure to move off-platform fast
Be careful with anyone who insists on WhatsApp or a personal number before shortlisting.
Auditions in private homes or hotel rooms
Real auditions happen at offices, studios or over self-tape. Take someone with you if unsure.
Vague roles with huge pay
“Lead role in a big banner film, ₹5 lakh” with no project details is a classic scam line.
